Friendly staff - Rating 4/5

More than adequate for our two night stay in Cambridge visiting family and friends.Breakfast was good, dinner in the restaurant excellent.All our requests met with a smile.

Very disappointed would not stay again we were told that two delux rooms were available on ground floor. We originally booked de lux roomdue to a late injury was told no lift available although the guy on the reception desk assured us no problem he would book us into the room we had alreadybooked. On arrival met baby a gentleman who informed us that he did not know we got the info came from, which he must ha - Rating 5/5

Know who works for him and that there was no delux rooms available on ground floor, the rooms had been booked a long time before, who do you believe, where put into normal double room, very old fashioned and small and although I was on crutches we think that if they wanted us to re visit they should have made more effort to accommodate us, the hotel is on the main road and is built next other non detached houses, as above we were visiting the hospital and felt very very disappointed

A pleasure to stay in - Rating 5/5

The Sorrento had spacious, comfortable guest rooms, friendly and obliging front desk staff and a very decent Italian restaurant on site. I couldn’t have been more satisfied.The only word of caution I’d offer is that you have to be careful not to bump your head in the shower.

Lovely hotel. - Rating 5/5

We stay for 2 nights for my wife's birthday very nice room and the staff were brilliantWe had to delay our trip by 1 day because of trouble with the car and the hotel changed or booking with no problem. Special mention for Alexander in the restaurant, top service.

Highly recommended - Rating 5/5

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Nice furniture in rooms. Road outside was much quieter than anticipated and not a problem. They accommodated food intolerances well and had an option of two alternative milks. Handy for cycling into Cambridge and not far from a network of good off road cycling routes. Good provision for bike storage, though better 'D' racks would make it even better as we had to use the vertical beams to lock bikes securely. Others in party found rooms too hot, as heating still on in summer but they could turn heaters off.

Good hotel - Rating 5/5

I spent three nights here in April 2022.I enjoyed my stay, the hotel was warm and comfortable, service was excellent.The restaurant was also excellent, good food and pleasant efficient service.It seems like a genuine Neapolitan family hotel and I would certainly return.

A classic family run hotel with that extra touch of care and comfort that you don't get at a corporate hotel. Attentive and friendly staff who care about the customer. Very comfortable bed.

Excellent - Rating 5/5

Right from when we booked in we felt relaxed. We could not fault anything. The room provided everything we wanted. Breakfast was excellent with masses to choose from and the staff very helpful. We will use the hotel whenever we are in the area.

A gem of a hotel - Rating 5/5

Sorrento Hotel is a gem of a privately managed hotel. There is onsite parking, a handy bus service into the city centre and a charming Italian Restaurant attached to the hotel.The staff are very welcoming, the rooms are compact but very comfortable. We would definitely return.

Lovely hotel - Rating 5/5

We stayed four nights in a large twin room which was very comfortable. I requested and received a feather pillow. Some instructions for the shower would have been helpful!All the staff were friendly and helpful and we felt very much at homeAn Italian restaurant was attached which served breakfast and an evening meal and all the food was delicious. The restaurant is not open on Sunday evening but there is a good pub across the road..The hotel is in a convenient location on a bus route and there is a row of shops close by. It also has a car park which is a big bonus in Cambridge.

What a fabulous experience staying at the Sorrento hotel was. We have stopped at several hotels in Cambridge as our son is at Uni here but none have matched the friendly warm service, the cleanliness and comfort. We felt very comfortable here, including eating in the adjourning Italian restaurant. We will be back!

A good weekend in Cambridge - Rating 4/5

9 friends stayed at the hotel for our annual reunion. The hotel was clean and smartly decorated. The Staff were friendly and helpful. Only 2 km outside Cambridge centre with regular bus service with its own parking. Restaurant could do with a wider menu.

Good - Rating 4/5

The quality of the bread at breakfast could be improved. Everything else was good. The bed was very comfortable, the room warm and the facilities very clean. I got a room by the road and could with no problem have it changed for a quieter room. Thank you!

A comfortable hotel in Cambridge - Rating 4/5

This hotel, though not in central Cambridge was easily accessed from the city centre.In fact we walked into the city as it was only about a mile and a half away. I wanted to visit the University botanic gardens and this hotel was no more than half a mile or so away.The room was clean, comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.Breakfast was very good with either a buffet with a continental selection or a full English.I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I wanted to stay overnight in Cambridge.

Sorrento hotel - Rating 5/5

We found this hotel by accident. We needed to stay near Addenbrookes hospital and we ended up staying two nights. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble

Family hotel in Cambridge - Rating 4/5

We booked this hotel for a short break in Cambridge. It suited us vey well and we warmed to it throughout our three day stay. The food was excellent, especially the evening meal. It was staffed by very friendly and helpful workforce.

Weekend stay - Rating 4/5

We chose this hotel for its location as my daughter lived close by. The staff were very obliging. The lounge and restaurant are light and airy. There was a reasonable selection for breakfast with the cooked food being prepared to order. The room was comfortableand clean with much more character than many hotels.We would return again.
